Accessibility statement

Climate Jobs is committed to ensuring our tools, programs, resources and digital environments are accessible, inclusive and usable for all people. We believe that climate and sustainability capability should be available to every council, organisation and community, regardless of ability, background or circumstance.

Our work focuses on building capability across the local government and community sectors. To do this well, accessibility and inclusion must be embedded in the way we design our programs, create resources, and deliver our digital services.

Our commitment

We aim to:

  • Design and maintain our website, digital tools and online surveys in a way that supports accessibility, including alignment with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) where practicable.
  • Provide clear, easy-to-read information that supports participation from people with different communication needs.
  • Ensure that programs such as the Becoming Climate Ready Program, workshops and capability assessments are delivered in formats that are inclusive and adaptable to participant needs.
  • Offer alternative formats or assistance on request, wherever reasonably possible.
  • Continuously improve accessibility through user feedback, testing, and iterative design.
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive environment where diversity is valued and all individuals feel welcome and able to participate.

Digital accessibility

We are committed to ongoing improvements in the accessibility of our digital platforms, including:

  • Climate capability self-assessment surveys
  • Online program materials and learning resources
  • Registration forms and program information
  • Reports, guides and articles
  • Interactive tools and data visualisations

We recognise that accessibility is an evolving space as technology changes, and we will continue to refine and adapt our digital services accordingly.

Inclusion in our programs and services

We aim to ensure that everyone engaging with Climate Jobs can participate fully. This includes people with disability, people from culturally or linguistically diverse backgrounds, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, and people with differing comfort levels or abilities in online environments.

Where possible, we will:

  • Make adjustments to support participation
  • Provide information in alternative formats when requested
  • Respond to individual needs with flexibility and respect
